About Ilene and Camp Ilene Staff
She has done loads of different things in her business career, and one day said, “I'm going to do what I love.” So in 1991, she started a pet sitting biz in Huntington Beach called “Luv Ur Pets.” She took an animal health care class, joined the chamber of commerce, became a member of the Pet Sitters association, and got to work. In no time at all, she had a very successful business and even started two other humans in the pet sitting business. Ilene sold her business and moved to South Orange County to work with a dog behaviorist. During the 5 years of working with this renowned trainer, people would call and ask where they should go to board their pets. Well, one
thing led to another, and “Camp Ilene” was formed. Through word
of mouth, as the camper’s here love this place, “Camp Ilene” has grown.
The camper’s families love the fact that they can leave home with no fears
about their pups because they will be loved at “Camp Ilene” just like they
are at home. No separation
anxiety. No stress.
Just love, hugs, and pets! In April of 2003, Ilene moved
the business to the Inland Empire, in Corona, so she could have more of us pups
running around. She is pretty dedicated to us, she owned her place in Ya gotta get your folks to send you to Camp! It is the funnest place on earth for us kids to be while our folks go off to have their own time. Just check it out, you will never wanna go anywhere else. Oh, a friendly reminder, don't let your folks get too worried that you won't wanna come back home.....sometimes when they see how happy we are coming to Camp, they worry, so make sure you give them an extra wag on your way in to the play yard at Camp!!! In the early years of Ilene's pet sitting business, a couple newspapers did articles on her business, "Luv Ur Pets".
